Keeping safety at the center of everything.
Safety is at the center of everything we do. Our safeguarding practices combine trained human oversight, clear clinical protocols, and platform-level protections to create a space where young people can show up authentically and get support without fear.
Clinician oversight strengthens every step
Coaches follow protocols developed and reviewed by our clinical team. This includes regular clinical supervision and audits to ensure safety and practice standards are consistently met across the model.
Safeguarding and monitoring for risk
Coaches and moderators are trained to recognize signs of distress or crisis in coaching sessions, journal entries, and peer spaces.
All user-generated posts move through a pre-moderation process to prevent harmful or unsafe content from appearing in peer spaces.
When necessary, staff follow established escalation pathways that include clinician consultation, mandated reporting requirements, and contacting emergency services when there is an imminent safety risk.
Commited to confidentiality and safety
Coaches keep conversations private except when safety is at risk.
If a coach is concerned that a young person may be in danger, or if the law requires a mandated report, they follow Soluna’s safeguarding protocols.
This may include consulting a licensed clinician, filing a report, or contacting emergency services when needed.
Designed to protect your privacy
Coaches follow safeguarding protocols developed and reviewed by our clinical team. When risk is identified, clinicians are available to guide decisions and offer additional support.
“One way Soluna has improved school for me is when I feel overwhelmed, I can talk to a coach. Having someone listen is incredibly helpful, and it has been great to help to lift some of the pressure that comes from school.”
