These Terms of Use are operated by Kooth Digital Health Limited, d/b/a "Soluna", which operates the service, and define "Soluna", "we", "us", or "our", a company registered in England and Wales under the company number 04154208, with a registered office at 5 Merchant Square, London, W2 1AY

Keeping yourself safe

• Please make sure that the information you give us is accurate. This includes the area where you live, your email address and your date of birth.
• Keep your account private - don't show anyone your password or share your account with someone else, unless it is a trusted adult that is supporting you to sign up
• When submitting content, don't use your full name or surname, give out details of specific locations like the name of your school or a place you like to go to with your friends or share details such as email addresses or your phone number or your date of birth

Respect others

• Be polite to other Soluna service users and the Soluna team of practitioners and counsellors
• Show each other kindness; rude or offensive comments won't be published
• Be sensitive to others and remember that things you say may impact on them
• Don't bully or be unkind to other Soluna service users or talk in a violent or aggressive way
• Make sure your language is appropriate - try not to use swear words or use sexually explicit language. Anything that is homophobic or racist won't be published
• It's important to be truthful on Soluna and not pretend to be someone else
• Sometimes you might feel cross or frustrated but it's important to try not to take it out on the Soluna team of practitioners and counsellors or other service users on the site
• Creation of malicious accounts, harassment, targeting, and any kind of abusive, violent or threatening behaviour that could harmfully impact Soluna service users or our Soluna team of practitioners and counsellors will not be tolerated. This includes the sharing of user content, user name and any other information relating to users both within and outside of the Soluna platform. This may result in your account being deactivated. In these circumstances we may take further action, including escalation to the police if deemed appropriate.

Some topics are sensitive

You might hear the word "trigger" used on Soluna. A trigger is something that can set off memories, emotions or feelings in someone else. It's hard to avoid every possible trigger but there are some common things that shouldn't be posted on Soluna as they might trigger others. These topics are best spoken about with Soluna practitioners who are trained to support you.

• Eating disorders - we won't publish any content that promotes or models unhealthy eating behaviors. This includes details on height, weight or BMI calculations, posts that are pro eating disorder or competitive, descriptions of ED behaviours or details and quantities of food in relation to ED behaviours.
• Self-harm - we won't publish any posts that encourage, promote, or instruct self-harm. This includes details of methods of self-harm or descriptions of self-harm injuries. Feeling suicidal - we won't publish anything that encourages, promotes, or instructs suicide or suicidal thinking. This includes talking about suicidal plans.
• Experiences of abuse or trauma - details of experiences of abuse and trauma are best discussed with practitioners, you can share with others your stories of overcoming difficult events but we won't be able to publish any specific details.
• Bullying - We will not publish any content targeted against a person that conveys a threat, is humiliating or degrading, or forms part of a continuous campaign of mistreatment.
• Sexual content - we will not publish any posts mentioning, describing, or ask for any sexually explicit material, adult content, or sexual acts.
• Dangerous Stunts - we won't publish any posts that promote dangerous challenges or ingesting harmful substances.
• Crime, gangs and illegal activity - we will not publish content that encourages, promotes or glorifies criminal or illegal activity, provides instructions or advice that could help someone commit a crime, contains graphic descriptions of crime or violence, relates to active criminal activity where publication could create a safety risk, includes detailed discussions of active legal or court proceedings, or promotes or glorifies gangs or gang activity.
• Medical and legal advice - we will not publish unverified medical or legal advice, instructions for diagnosing or treating health conditions, advice about changing or stopping prescribed medication, recommendations for specific prescription medications, unsafe or unverified medical practices, or instructions or advice about legal processes.
• Substance misuse - we will not publish content that promotes or encourages substance use, provides instructions about obtaining, preparing or using substances, promotes intoxication, includes specific illegal drug names, includes brand names, flavours or purchasing information relating to alcohol or vaping products, or encourages another person to use substances.
• Advertising, brands and promotion - we will not publish content that advertises, sells or promotes products or services, promotes specific businesses or commercial organisations, promotes paid streaming or subscription services, promotes alcohol, vaping products, drugs or other harmful products, or encourages users to follow or contact someone outside Soluna for commercial or promotional purposes.
• Social media, external links and off-platform contact - we will not publish external website links or URLs, social media usernames or handles, requests for off-platform contact, invitations to join external groups, servers or messaging apps, requests to move conversations to another platform, or content encouraging users to follow or contact each other outside Soluna.
• Influencers and controversial figures - we will not publish content that promotes, glorifies or defends harmful or abusive individuals, promotes influencers or public figures associated with hate speech, misogyny, radicalisation, violence or dangerous behaviour, encourages users to follow or support harmful online movements, or promotes or glorifies extremist or violent figures or groups.

Publishing and downloads

On Soluna, everything that you post or submit to the site is checked by our trained practitioners who review and moderate what you've written and make sure it doesn't break any of the community boundaries or contains any information that alerts us that you, or someone else, may be at risk of harm and require safeguarding.

• Sometimes a moderator might not be able to publish your post but we will always let you know. You will be sent a notification on Soluna to say your post has not been approved and the reason why.
• Documents on the site may be downloaded and used for personal, non-commercial use only.
• All rights are reserved; no part of Soluna, including information, images, photos, trademarks & logos may be copied, republished, posted, broadcast or reproduced in any form whatsoever without our prior written permission from Soluna.

Account Creation and Eligibility

You are responsible for ensuring that all information provided during registration is true and accurate. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts where incorrect eligibility information has been intentionally provided or where these Terms have been breached.

Limitation of Liability

We take reasonable steps to maintain platform availability. Soluna is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. Soluna does not guarantee that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or continuously available during scheduled maintenance or technical updates. To the maximum extent permitted by UK law, Soluna shall not be liable for an indirect or consequential loss resulting from platform unavailability or technical defects.

These terms may be changed from time to time to ensure we are able to keep our users safe and comply with the law. We will notify you when we change these terms. If you continue to use the site after we have changed the terms, then you are assumed to have accepted the changes.

Governing Law

These terms, their subject matter, and their formation are governed by the law of England and Wales. You and Soluna both agree that the courts of England and Wales will have exclusive jurisdiction in relation to any dispute arising under these terms.
